If you are a dog owner, please make sure you, your family, house guests and hired dog walkers are aware of the following pet rules. If you see a violator, please do your part to support the health and safety of your community and notify the Management Office and the Towamencin Township in writing. Please be assured that your name will not be divulged to the violator.
The Morgandale Condominium Association strictly enforces their pet policy, and cites the Homeowner in accordance with the compliance procedure. A fine for a violation of this kind is $100.00, increasing by $250.00 per occurrence.
Towamencin Township Ordinances are strictly enforced.
64-3. Defecation and Urination.
A. It shall be unlawful for the owner or person in custody or control of any dog to allow such dog to defecate or urinate upon the public property of the Township, the highways of the Commonwealth and the private
property of another other than the owner or keeper of said dog.
B. If such dog shall defecate upon property other than that of the owner or keeper of the dog, the owner or keeper must immediately clean up the feces and make proper disposition of it so as not to endanger the
health and safety of the public.
64-4. Violations and Penalties.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable for each offense by a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution, or upon default in payment of the fine and costs, by imprisonment for not more than five days. Any repetition of a violation shall
be deemed a new offense.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is becoming aggressive about enforcing the Clean Water Act. Our Association could be fined if dog waste goes uncollected.
Uncollected dog waste spreads disease and attracts rodents who feed on pet waste.
The dog littered turf also causes problems for the landscapers and their mowers, by getting in the equipment and spreading the feces, creating a larger problem.
The more residents complain about dog waste, the more time Management must spend on enforcement rather than serving the Association.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Management Office at (215) 368-6350 or [email protected].
